ABOUT LYNBROOK MUN

Lynbrook MUN is an award-winning student-ran organization aiming to educate members on international issues, public speaking, and current events.

We attend conferences every year, from both local and national levels, most hosted by colleges such as Berkeley and Stanford. At these conferences, delegates are able to explore a variety of topics, ranging from intercountry politics to widespread health issues, just to name a few. Participants represent countries and work together in committee to discuss global affairs and solve relevant international problems.

Come explore the world of the United Nations with us!

  • Public Speaking

Through both conferences and club preparations, members will be able to comfortably deliver impromptu speeches and develop critical thinking skills.

  • Networking

Members will be able to make connections with students from the Bay Area and the country. In preparation for conferences, members also develop strong friendships with fellow club members and the officers.

  • Global Awareness

After gaining knowledge and past and current world issues, members create detailed solutions that truly tackle these problems on a global scale.

“I first joined MUN hoping to improve my public speaking, but soon found myself watching footage of recorded conferences at unholy hours. And while I am still far from being a good speaker, I’ve learned a lot from my time in MUN”

— Hongyu Guo, 2024

“I’ve learned so much from MUN this past year, whether that be about public speaking or engaging in real world issues. I’ve created so many wonderful memories with people here at Lynbrook MUN and I’ve loved every second of it. If you're looking to have some fun, create new connections, and get out of your comfort zone, MUN is definitely the club for you!

— Lisa Jing, 2026

“MUN is a place for connection not only in our school but across the globe. It gives a sense of community while talking and learning about important topics that will one day impact us.”

— Luthien Wang, 2025

“LHSMUN allowed me to grow in so many ways that shape many parts of who I am today. Firstly, LHSMUN taught me the beauty of teamwork and that we, as teammates, should raise each other up. Secondly, LHSMUN helped me to develop and hone my compromising skills, which is now a valuable tool that I use when working with projects/other teams. Overall, I wish I can say more, but I will end with this: MUN will change your life and LHSMUN will be there to make sure it will.”

— Taekyong Kim, 2025
